1. When you are visiting Tanzania, be careful as the lions there can climb trees. It is a unique species of lion that can climb the trees other lions cannot climb trees.
2. Baobab trees are not native to Madagascar and South Africa. They can be found in Tanzania as well. Baobab trees can easily live for a millennium and some of the trees have been around for 6,000 years.

9. Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain not only in Tanzania but in Africa as well. The mountain has an elevation of 5,895 meters above sea level. It is located in the northeast of the country near the border with Kenya.
